Trans Energy, Inc. announced that it has begun drilling the Stout #2H well in Marshall County, West Virginia. The Stout #2H will be drilled and completed horizontally in the Marcellus shale.
John G. Corp, President of Trans Energy, said, "We plan to drill four additional horizontal Marcellus wells in Marshall County in 2010 beginning with the Stout #2H.
Moving to a development phase from an exploration phase is another significant step forward for Trans Energy to properly develop its acreage position in northern West Virginia."
