Looking to become an international competitor and break its Russian dependence, the Polish government has recently met with operators who are interested in developing the country’s resources – so far, both Talisman Energy and Chevron are competing for prospects. Most recently, the country’s Lane Energy and Schlumberger have implemented the area’s first exploratory shale well and are planning to drill a second in the coming months.
