Anadarko Basin horizontal drilling into the Cleveland sand’s tight-gas and tight-sand formations is paying off and has the interest of independent players including Chesapeake Energy Inc., Noble Energy Inc., Holmes Exploration LLC, Duncan Oil Properties Inc., and EOG Resources Inc. Cleveland sand completions reported in February 2010 include the following:

-EOG Resources had initial flow rate of 293 bbl. of 42-gravity oil, 1.22 million cubic feet of gas at #5H CNB Trustees 360 in Lipscomb County, Texas. Production came from a fracture-stimulated, open-hole lateral in the Cleveland.
