Vertex Resource Group Ltd. said Sept. 1 it has acquired Ignite Energy Services Ltd., Glacier Ridge Ventures Ltd. and Tar Energy Services for an undisclosed amount.
The newly acquired companies provide fluid production hauling and management services and operate vacuum trucks, pressure trucks, hydro-vac trucks, steam trucks and water trucks.
Vertex said the acquisition will expand the depth of its oilfield services division by creating a new fluid management and logistics service offering. It will also broadens the breadth of the Sherwood Park, Alberta-based company's environmental consulting and safety and medical divisions.
The deal will also enhance Vertex's already well established emergency spill response, drilling waste, and remediation services, in addition to enlarging its surface rental fleet, the company said.
As part of the transaction , Vertex's geographical presence will expand with new office locations in Valleyview, Rycroft, Swan Hills, and Whitecourt, Alberta.
