Apache Corp. completed two horizontal wells in the company’s Alpine High play in the Reeves County (RRC Dist. 8A), Texas, portion of the Delaware Basin. A Woodford producer, #101AH Chinook, flowed 8.5 MMcf of gas and 620 bbl of 54-degree-gravity oil per day from a 4,524-ft treated lateral. It was drilled to the north to 15,107 ft (10,124 ft true vertical) and is in Section 36, Block 56 T7S, T&P RR Co Survey, A-4802. About 1 mile to the south is a Barnett Shale producer, #5H Black Hawk State in Section 48, Block 56 TS, T&P Survey, A-3291. It flowed 5.3 MMcf of gas and 742 bbl of 50-degree-gravity oil per day from a 4,525-ft treated lateral. The 14,678-ft well bottomed to the south at a true vertical depth of 9,712 ft.
