Callon Petroleum Co.’s (NYSE: CPE) board of directors approved three management promotions, the company said Aug. 23.
Gary A. Newberry was appointed as senior vice president and COO and will continue leading all aspects of operations managed by Jerry Weant, vice president of land; and Michael O'Connor, vice president of Permian operations, who report directly to him.
Joseph C. Gatto Jr. was appointed as president, in addition to his current roles as CFO and treasurer.
Mitzi P. Conn was appointed to the newly created position of vice president and chief accounting officer, and will report to Gatto.
Newberry and Gatto will continue reporting to CEO and Chairman of the board Fred Callon.
Callon Petroleum Co. is based in Natchez, Miss.
