Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Midland-based Triumph Exploration Inc. announced a horizontal San Andres producer in Gaines County (RRC Dist. 8A), Texas. The venture, #2H Steinle 15, was tested pumping 97 bbl of 33-degree-gravity oil, 15 Mcf of gas and 1.5 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from fracture-treated perforations at 4,888-9,490 ft. The Dempsey Creek Field well was drilled to 9,575 ft. It is in Section 6, Block A27, PSL Survey, A-402, on a 320-acre lease on the Central Basin Platform of the Permian Basin. The horizontal leg bottomed about one mile to the south-southeast in Section 15 with a true vertical depth of 4,634 ft. According to IHS Markit, the discovery is a southwest offset to the operator’s #1H Steinle 15, a parallel horizontal well that pumped 105 bbl of 33-degree-gravity oil, 80 Mcf of gas and 1.710 Mbbl of water per day. Recovery during its first four months on-stream is 9.854 Mbbl of crude and 2.6 MMcf of gas.
