Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Two horizontal Niobrara wells by Chesapeake Operating Inc. were completed in the Combs Ranch (Deep) Unit on the southern flank of the Powder River Basin. Both were drilled from a common drillpad in Section 29-33n-70w of Converse County, Wyo. The #29-33-70 B 7H Combs Ranch initially flowed 4.418 MMcf of gas, 502 bbl of 66.7-degree-gravity condensate and 242 bbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending north-north-eastward from 9,162 ft to 17,212 ft with a bottomhole location in Section 19-33n-70w. The true vertical depth is 11,272 ft. It was tested on a 20/64-in. choke following 20-stage fracturing at 11,364-17,055 ft. The #29-33-70 B 5H Combs Ranch initially flowed 1.537 MMcf of gas, 153 bbl of 66.9-degree-gravity condensate and 222 bbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending north-northeastward from 9,189 ft to 17,200 ft. It bottomed in Section 20-33n-70w, and the true vertical depth is 11,310 ft. It was tested on a 20/64-in. choke after 17-stage fracturing between 11,533 and 17,051 ft. Chesapeake is based in Oklahoma City.
