About
Samsung Heavy Industries, based in South Korea and founded in 1974, has secured orders for more than 1,400 ships and offshore facilities and successfully delivered over 1,256 units as of December 31, 2022. The company developed and built the world's first Arctic shuttle tanker and LNG FPSOs and has pioneered new markets by developing innovative products such as LNG FSRUs, various ships for polar regions, Arctic ice-breakers and container ships. It also delivers semisubmersible drilling platforms.
