Comstock Resources Inc. (NYSE: CRK) COO Mack D. Good has retired, the Frisco, Texas-based company said Sept. 1.
Good was appointed COO in 2015, after returning from a brief retirement. He previously served as the company's COO from 2004-2011 and has been with Comstock in various other capacities since 1997. His retirement is effective Aug. 31, the company said.
Additionally, Daniel S. Harrison has been appointed vice president of operations of the company and will oversee Comstock's drilling, production and exploration activities.
Harrison has been with Comstock for nine years since joining the company in 2008 and has overseen its operations, engineering and field operations since 2013, according to the company press release.
"Mack has been an invaluable member of our management team over the past several years, and he has been instrumental in refocusing our efforts on our very successful Haynesville shale drilling program," M. Jay Allison, CEO of Comstock, said in a statement. "Dan has been in charge of our drilling, completion and production operations in our Haynesville shale area for the last several years, so we expect a seamless transition to his leadership over our drilling and production operations."
