Description

Two extended-reach horizontal Niobrara tests are planned in Arapahoe County, Colo., by Houston-based ConocoPhillips. The Denver-Julesburg Basin wells will be drilled from a common drillpad in Section 15-4s-65w. The #4-65 15-16-3BH Lone Tree will be drilled to the southwest to 15,738 ft, 8,008 ft true vertical and it will bottom in Section 16-4s-65w. The #4-65 15-16-4H_D Lone Tree will be drilled to the southwest to 17,465 ft, 8,007 ft true vertical and will also bottom in Section 16-4s-65w. The tests offset to the west #4-65 13-14-1H Prosper, which was completed two years ago by ConocoPhillips’ subsidiary Burlington Resources Oil & Gas Co LP – that discovery flowed 985 bbl of 40-degree-gravity oil, 2.433 MMcf of gas and 105 bbl of water per day.
