Description
IHS Markit reported that Continental Resources Inc. has completed the first Woodford horizontal well in an Ardmore Basin township. The #1-15H Bloyd is in Section 15-3s-1w of Carter County, Okla., and is flowing 6.36 MMcf of gas and 1.198 Mbbl of water. The venture was drilled to the south to 20,732 ft, 18,145 ft true vertical. Production is from a perforated and fractured interval at 17,240-20,640 ft. Tested on a 32/64-in. choke, the shut-in tubing pressure was 6,350 psi, and the flowing tubing pressure was 1,340 psi. The closest horizontal producer is five miles to the east-northeast at a 2009 XTO Energy Inc. discovery off the western flank of Springer Field.
