Description
Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources Inc. has reported the completion of two horizontal Bakken/Three Forks wells in Mountrail County, N.D. The Middle Three Forks well, #1-2H2 Brangus North, initially flowed 2.305 Mbbl of oil and 1.1 MMcf of gas per day. The Elm Tree Field venture was drilled in Section 26-154n-94w and tested after 46-stage fracturing at 15,037-24,909 ft. It bottomed to the southeast in Section 11-153n-94w. About eight miles to the southeast in Section 23-153n-93w, #5-22H Rath-Federal was tested flowing 2.063 Mbbl of oil and 2 MMcf of gas per day from a fractured horizontal Bakken interval at 11,607-25,266 ft. It bottomed to the west in Section 20-153n-93w. Additional completion information is not currently available.
