Dejour Energy Inc. provided an operational update for its flagship Kokopelli project on Oct. 14.
On Kokopelli Pad 21B, Dejour and its operating partner drilled, cased and completed a single vertical Mancos discovery well at 13,600 feet—the Federal 14-15-7-21. They also drilled, cased and completed seven Williams Fork (WF) wells--the Federal 14-15-1-21 through Federal 14-15-8-21. There were 14 stages to assess the multizone potential of the leasehold during the deep Mancos discovery well completion, the company said.
The Mancos well flowed at more than 8 million cubic feet per day, or about 1,300boe/d. The company said that the Federal 14-15-7-21 is among the better vertical wells drilled to date. It has been temporarily choked back for analysis and alignment of gas composition with current delivery systems. The seven WF wells now flow an additional 6MMcf/d plus liquids.
Stabilized production rates for all eight wells will be reported during the current quarter, the company said. The company forecast adding 500boe/d to its working interest for this set of wells.
Dejour owns a 25% working interest in this multizonal production project. There could be more than 50 additional vertical Mancos wells, the company said, in addition to 200 WF wells.
Canada-based Dejour Energy Inc. works in the Piceance Basin and Peace River Arch regions.
