The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has released an updated brief on Argentina's oil and gas sector.
Argentina is a significant South American oil and natural gas producer, but in recent years its production has been in decline while energy demand has grown. Argentina is the largest producer and consumer of natural gas in South America, and though it remains a net exporter of oil, it depends increasingly upon imports of natural gas.
