The Cutbank Ridge Partnership selected Fluor Corp. to execute engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) for the Saturn 15-27 Phase 2 sweet gas plant project near Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Fluor said Feb. 8.
An undisclosed contract value was booked in fourth-quarter 2015.
The project is part of the Cutbank Ridge partnership program between Mitsubishi Corp. and Encana Corp. (ECA), which involves the long-term development of natural gas resources in northeastern British Columbia.
Currently, Fluor is executing EPCM for three similar projects—Sunrise 04-26, Tower 03-07 and Saturn 15-27 Phase 2, the company said.
The new facilities will receive sweet natural gas, remove water and hydrocarbons, chill and compress the gas to meet transmission pipeline requirements and recover NGL from the gas streams. The plants will have the capacity to process a combined additional 800 million cubic feet per day of gas.
Fluor Corp. is based in Irving, Texas.
