Geophysical Insights will license seismic analysis software technology from the University of Oklahoma’s Attribute-assisted Seismic Processing and Interpretation (AASPI) Consortium, and will incorporate the technology into the commercial Paradise seismic software platform.

Geophysical Insights and the AASPI’s initiative will make the consortium’s research results available to more interpreters across the oil and gas industry.

Geophysical Insights will also provide maintenance and support services for commercial products built using the AASPI technology that will run on Paradise.

The agreement was announced jointly by Kurt Marfurt, principal investigator of the AASPI consortium, and Tom Smith, president and CEO of Geophysical Insights.

Marfurt leads the consortium. Smith founded Geophysical Insights in 2008.
