The board of directors appointed Grant Sims as an independent director, effective immediately, WildHorse Resource Development Corp. (NYSE: WRD) said Feb. 10.
Sims has been director and CEO of the general partner of midstream MLP Genesis Energy Partners LP since August 2006, and chairman of general partner’s board since October 2012.
From 1992 to 1999, Sims was affiliated with Leviathan Gas Pipeline Partners LP (an MLP subsequently known as El Paso Energy Partners LP and GulfTerra Energy Partners LP), serving as CEO and a director beginning in 1993 until leaving to pursue investments and other interests.
WildHorse Resource Development Corp. is based in Houston.
