Industry solutions provider Intertek said Oct. 2 that its North Dakota Shale Oil & Gas sector has a new, state-of-the-art laboratory in Bismarck.
The 10,000-square foot laboratory allows expanded testing capabilities, which will reduce turnaround times and enhance the solutions for field and lab services, crude by rail, pipeline, midstream, petroleum refining and wellhead production, the company added.
Chemists, lab technicians and inspectors work at the lab, the company said.
Because of growing demand for its services, Intertek plans to add another oil and gas metering and measurement facility next to the lab. This facility will also be 10,000 square feet, the company said.
“Intertek is committed to providing new and enhanced local inspection and testing services to oil and gas clients in the Bakken Shale oil region. Most of the new employees we’ve hired are from North Dakota. Our dedication to North Dakota and our clients operating here is long-term and strategic,” said regional manager Jeff Kayler.
London-based Intertek is a multinational company.
