After battling record snows and cold during the first half of February, drilling activity in western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle is rebounding as operators get 2011 drilling programs back on track.
Cana Woodford targets in Blaine and Dewey counties of western Oklahoma led the way last week, particularly Dewey County, which has seen rig count move from 15 units active during January to 21 units turning to the right at the end of February.
