Paul Korus will retire Sept. 1 as CFO of Cimarex Energy Co., the company said June 2. Korus told management and the board of directors he would retire, the company added.
Mark Burford will replace Korus as CFO, the company said. Burford joined the company in 2005 and currently is vice president of capital markets and planning.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with the exceptional people at Cimarex. I take great pride in our accomplishments and I look forward to following the company as a shareholder," Korus said.
Denver-based Cimarex Energy Co. explores and produces oil and natural gas in the Midcontinent and Permian Basin.
