A failed value caused the leak of oil and saltwater at the Foss Saltwater Disposal Well 1 in North Dakota, about five miles east of the town of Ray. It has been contained, according to the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division March 23.

Landtech Enerprises LLC reported March 20 that about 15 barrels (bbl) of oil were released and contained, and only 5 bbl are not yet contained. About 700 bbl of saltwater were released and contained.

A state inspector has been to the location.
