Marlon MacDougall and James Causgrove will depart and retire, respectively, from Pengrowth Energy Corp., the company said April 28. MacDougall will step down as COO, and Causgrove will retire July 1 as senior vice president of operations, the company added.

Randy Steele and Steve De Maio will assume MacDougall and Causgrove’s responsibilities, the company added. Steele is general manager of the conventional business unit, and will expand his role in nonthermal operations. DeMaio is vice president for in situ development and operations, and will be responsible for thermal operations’ growth.

"Marlon and Jim have been significant contributors to Pengrowth's success including meaningful strides in improving capital efficiencies and bringing the first commercial phase of our Lindbergh project on stream on time earlier this year. Marlon joined Pengrowth in 2011 and Jim joined the company back in 2005. We thank them for all of their efforts on our behalf, and wish them the best for the future," said Derek Evans, president and CEO.

Calgary, Alberta-based Pengrowth Energy Corp. has Cardium light oil, Swan Hills light oil and Lindbergh thermal bitumen projects.
