Description
Two horizontal San Andres tests have been permitted along the Roosevelt Uplift in Roosevelt County, N.M., by Manzano LLC. According to IHS Markit, #002H Brown Eye Girl 5 Fee will be in Section 5-7s-34e with a planned bottomhole to the north in Section 32-6s-34e. The proposed depth is 11,988 ft. This test will offset a vertical San Andres oil well completed in 1988: #1 Brown was tested pumping 55 bbl of 36-degree-gravity crude, 65 Mcf of gas and 2 bbl of water per day from acidized perforations at 4,121-64 ft. It was drilled to 4,218 ft in Chaveroo Northeast Field. Within three miles to the northeast, #005H Tupelo Honey 27 has a planned depth of 11,698 ft and is in Section 27-6s-34e. The lateral will be drilled about 1.5 miles to the north and will bottom in Section 22. Manzano is based in Roswell, N.M.
