Marquee Energy Ltd. (TSXV: MQL.V) closed the acquisition of land containing Banff/Mannville rights to consolidate its core Michichi area.
There are about 34 net sections of land, next to the company’s Michichi position. About 330 barrels of oil equivalent per day are produced.
Richard Thompson, president and CEO, said the acquisition covers a 25-mile, multizone light oil fairway.
There are about 40 high-quality light oil locations, Calgary, Alberta-based Marquee added.
