Description
SM Energy Co. announced results from two horizontal Williston Basin completions in Divide County, N.D. The wells were drilled from a common drillpad in Section 6-160n-98w. The #2-6HN Bronkar initially pumped 256 bbl of 39.5-degree-gravity oil, 230 Mcf of gas and 915 bbl of water per day. Production is from an Upper Three Forks lateral extending from 9,195 ft northward to 19,222 ft, 8,782 ft true vertical, with a bottom-hole location in Section 27-161n-98w. It was tested after acid cleanup and 20-stage fracturing. The #2B-6HS Bronkar pumped 271 bbl of 40-degree-gravity oil with 272 Mcf of gas and 1.234 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral in Middle Bakken extending from 9,110 ft southward to 18,820 ft, 8,944 ft true vertical, and it bottomed in Section 7-160n-98w. It was tested after 22 stages of acid cleanup and fracturing. SM is based in Denver.
