Navitas Midstream Partners LLC announced Nov. 20 the execution of a long-term, fee-based agreement with an investment grade independent producer to provide gathering and processing services in the northern Eagle Ford Shale in Brazos and Grimes counties, Texas.
Navitas, based in The Woodlands, Texas, will construct the La Bahía system, which will consist of a 20-inch gathering line.
The line will deliver gas from Brazos County to Navitas’ natural gas processing plant to be located in Grimes County. When fully completed in mid-2015, the cryogenic processing plant will have a capacity of about 120 million cubic feet per day.
“Our La Bahía gathering and processing system will be state-of-the-art and will provide producers a much-needed alternative for midstream services in the area. The new La Bahía system will be located at the intersection of multiple producing horizons, including the Eagle Ford and Woodbine, among others,” said R. Bruce Northcutt, president and CEO of Navitas, in a statement. “We believe this transaction supports Navitas’ long-term strategy of building an enduring, producer-focused midstream company.”
