PetroShale Inc. detailed an update on current production volumes from operations in North Dakota’s Bakken/Three Forks shale, the company said June 24.
Production has begun from 5 gross (1.3 net) recently completed wells that were tied into gas processing and transportation infrastructure. Including these volumes, total production ranges between 1,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) to 1,700boe/d.This range represents an increase of 118% and 218% from first-quarter 2015 and fourth-quarter 2014 production, respectively.
The wells will have natural declines as they mature, PetroShale said.
A&D opportunities in the core of Bakken/Three Forks are the current focus, taking advantage of low oil prices, the company said.
PetroShale Inc. is based in Calgary, Alberta.
