On Feb. 17, recycling company Republic Services Inc. (NYSE: RSG) said it completed the acquisition of Tervita LLC, an oil and gas industry-focused environmental waste solutions provider.
Houston-based Tervita‘s assets will support Phoenix-based Republic’s current E&P business and will support work in basins including the Bakken, Eagle Ford and Permian, the company added.
"We are pleased that we were able to quickly close this transaction and believe this acquisition establishes a significant platform for us to expand into the E&P sector," said Brian Bales, Republic’s executive vice president of business development. "We look forward to serving our new customers, as well as expanding our product portfolio to our existing E&P customer base."
