Alan Snider became president and COO at Laney Directional Drilling, the company said June 23. Snider joined Laney in 2011, and has more than 26 years’ experience designing and managing complex horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and direct pipe (DP) projects for pipeline crossings.
Snider handles leadership of the HDD, DP, engineering, sales and marketing, and estimating teams. Previously, Snider had been vice president of engineering and project management since joining the company.
Snider joined Laney from GeoEngineers, where he was south business unit leader, energy market director and a principal. He also served on the board of directors at GeoEngineers.
Snider began his pipeline career at Willbros in 1990. He started his own firm, Advantage Professional Services, which was acquired by GeoEngineers in 2004.
Snider, who is a licensed professional engineer, earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas.
