A Cotton Valley test in Mississippi’s Glade Crossing Field has been scheduled by Venture Oil & Gas Inc. in a Jones County oil reservoir opened by the Laurel, Miss.-based company in 2014. The #2 Guy Ann 21-8 will be directionally drilled to 17,500 ft and is in Section 28-8n-11w. The most recent well drilled in Glade Crossing Field was completed in 2016 and is within one mile to the northwest: #1 BOE 16-16 was tested flowing 348 bbl of crude and 732 Mcf of gas from Cotton Valley at 17,002-42 ft. The field opener, #1 Holifield 21-16, flowed 182 bbl of 50-degree-gravity oil and 1.1 MMcf of gas per day from Cotton Valley perforations at 15,940-16,060 ft.
