Description

Two offsetting, extended-lateral Wolfcamp gas producers in Culberson County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas, were reported by Denver-based Cimarex Energy Co. The Delaware Basin wells are in Section 25, Block 60 T2S, T&P RR Co Survey, A-2831. The #1H Broker’s Tip 24 State Unit produced 3.243 MMcf of gas, 900 bbl of 43.6-degree-gravity oil and 2.5 Mbbl of water per day from fracture-stimulated perforations at 8,655-18,588 ft. Gauged on a 1-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 1,056 psi. It was drilled to 19,070 ft, 8,669 ft true vertical. It bottomed 2 miles to the north in Section 13. The south-trending #1H Nyquist 25 State Unit flowed 5.31 MMcf of gas, 800 bbl of 52.8-degree-gravity condensate and 2.5 Mbbl of water per day from 8,805-18,833 ft. It was tested on a 1-in. choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 1,436 psi. The 2-mile lateral bottomed in Section 36 at 18,990 ft, 8,554 ft true vertical.
