A Cotton Valley test is planned in Jackson Parish, La., by Range Resources Corp. The Kelleys Field well, #1 Jaclin Corp 25-36-1H, will be horizontally drilled to 20,500 ft, with a true vertical depth of 13,500 ft. The venture is in Section 25-17n-2w and will bottom about 1.5 miles to the south in Section 1-16n-2w. According to IHS Markit, the proposed lateral passes a vertical Cotton Valley well in Kelleys Field. The #1 Jaclin Corp 25 was tested in 2006 flowing 2.6 MMcf of gas per day from 11,534-13,560 ft. Fort Worth, Texas-based Range Resources now operates the 14,000-ft gas well.
