Description

A horizontal Wolfcamp producer was announced by UpCurve Energy LLC at the Houston-based company’s second operated well in Reeves County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas. The Delaware Basin venture, #1H E Storm State 33, was tested pumping 928 bbl of 44-degree-gravity crude, 2.255 MMcf of gas and 4.054 Mbbl of water per day from perforations at 10,193-15,665 ft. The 17,508-ft Phantom Field well is in Section 33, Block 72, PSL Survey, A-4124. The horizontal leg bottomed about 1.5 miles to the south at a true vertical depth of 9,737 ft in Section 36. An initial hole was abandoned at 11,164 ft. The company recently permitted a northern offset at #1H Denali State 33 with a planned true vertical depth of 10,950 ft. The lateral is expected to bottom about a mile to the north in Section 25. UpCurve holds permits for three more horizontal Phantom Field tests in the area: #1H Johnson B State 35, #1H Payday State 44 and #1H Winkler State 34.
