Description
A Cotton Valley gas discovery was announced by Lewisville, Texas-based Jamex Inc. in Van Zandt County (RRC Dist. 5), Texas. The Edgewood Field completion, #1 Reznicek, initially flowed 1.624 MMcf of gas, 2 bbl of 52.1-degree-gravity condensate and 2 bbl of water per day. Production is from perforations at 11,580-11,618 ft. The vertical well was drilled to 11,750 ft and is on a 160-acre East Texas lease in F.W. Wrede Survey, A-897. Tested on a 6/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 3,200 psi, and the shut-in tubing pressure was 4,200 psi.
