Description
Burlington Resources Oil & Gas Co LP has scheduled four horizontal Niobrara exploratory tests about 2.5 miles south of the Denver International Airport. IHS Markit reported that the four horizontal ventures will be drilled from a common drillpad in Section 13-3s-65w, Adams County, Colo. The #13-18-2AH, #2BH, #2CH and #2DH Left Hand 3-65 will be horizontally drilled generally eastward to measured total depths of 18,010-18,097 ft at bottom-hole locations in Section 18-3s-64w. True vertical depths range between 7,439 and 7,542 ft. The wells are are within 1 mile south of Mandella Field, which has produced oil from the lower Cretaceous D and J sands. Burlington is a subsidiary of Houston-based ConocoPhillips.
