Longs Peak Resources LLC has scheduled 13 horizontal wildcats on two drillpads in a nonproducing township on the northern flank of the Denver-Julesburg Basin. The drillpads will be in Section 18-17n-62w in Laramie County, Wyo. Seven of the wells will be drilled in Niobrara and six will be in Codell. They are on the company’s Gross Wilkinson leases and will be drilled generally northward to total depths between 17,049 and 17,525 ft with bottomhole locations in Section 6-17n-62w. The Niobrara wells have projected true vertical depths of 7,207 ft to 7,319 ft, while the Codell wells have projected true vertical depths of 7,367 ft to 7,479 ft. Nearby production is 7 miles to the south in Chivington Field, a Cretaceous J Sand oil reservoir. Longs Peak is based in Houston.
