Drilling Activity Summary
Description
In New Mexico’s Purple Sage Field, Tyler, Texas-based Mewbourne Oil Co. completed a horizontal Wolfcamp producer. The #001H Styx 17 W2PA Fe Com was tested flowing 4.117 MMcf of gas, 305 bbl of 55.8-degree-gravity condensate and 1.856 Mbbl of water per day. The discovery is in Section 20-23s-28e of Eddy County and was drilled to 15,530 ft, 10,275 ft true vertical. Production is from fracture-treated perforations at 10,901-15,490 ft. The north-trending horizontal leg bottomed a mile to the north in Section 17. Gauged on a 21/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 3,990 psi.
