On Sept. 12, Strike Energy Ltd. reported operational advances at its Southern Cooper Basin Gas Project in PEL 96 in Australia.
Strike Energy is the operator with a 66.67% interest, and Energy World Corp. has a 33.33% interest.
Over the last two months, Strike has been building on the successful major upgrade to the production capacity of the Klebb pilot project with all four Klebb wells operating together. In addition, a series of jet pump configuration trials focused on Klebb 2 and 3 have been conducted to calibrate the relative performance characteristics of the jet pumps to minimize the dewatering period.
The goal is to maintain stable and reliable operations as consistent water flow from all four Klebb wells will accelerate. Reservoir pressure reduction will lead to increased gas flow rates.
The Klebb 1 beam pump has been performing consistently since reinstatement in mid‐July with subsequent modifications to the surface equipment, the company said.
Following its workover in mid‐August,Klebb 2’s performance has increased. The company said that it expects higher production from Klebb 2 once the second high-pressure pump is installed.
Jet pump adjustments have been conducted primarily on Klebb 3.
