Description

Newfield Production Co. completed three extended-reach horizontal producers from a drillpad in Section 23-3s-3w in the Uintah Basin portion of Duchesne County, Utah. The wells were drilled about 2 miles generally northward to bottomhole locations in Section 14-3s-3w. The #14-23-3-3-23-14-3H Keller-UT flowed 2.646 Mbbl of oil, 990 Mcf of gas and 2.081 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral in Uteland Buttes extending from 8,871 to 18,868 ft. It was tested on a 24/64-in. choke after 42-stage fracturing between 8,871 and 16,535 ft. The #14-23-3-3-23-14-16H Keller-UT flowed 2.023 Mbbl of oil, with 1.501 MMcf of gas and 1.939 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral in Wasatch extending from 8,896 to 18,751 ft and the true vertical depth is 9,072 ft. It was tested on a 32/64-in. choke after 51-stage fracturing between 8,896 and 18,746 ft. The #14-23-3-3-23-14-4H Keller-UT initially flowed 1.463 Mbbl of oil, 904 Mcf of gas and 3.882 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral in Uteland Buttes extending from 8,849-18,697 ft, and the true vertical depth is 8,988 ft and was tested on a 28/64-in. choke. It was fractured in 51 stages between 8,849 and 18,692 ft. Newfield’s headquarters are in Houston.
