Drilling Activity Summary
Description
According to IHS Markit, two horizontal Barnett Shale tests have been scheduled by EnerVest Operating Corp. in Wise County (RRC Dist. 9), Texas. The #3H Katie Lee Unit and #5H Katie Lee Unit are each permitted to 9,000 ft, with laterals set to bottom more than one-half mile to the southeast. The 115.6-acre Fort Worth Basin lease is in John W. Krunk Survey, A-160. Successful completions would be placed in North Texas’ Newark East Field. Both locations offset #1H Katie Lee Unit, which was completed in 2009. The well was tested flowing 3.026 MMcf of gas, 172 bbl of 49.6-degree-gravity oil and 990 bbl of water per day. Production is from fracture-treated Barnett perforations at 8,480-10,576 ft. Cumulative production from #1H Katie Lee Unit totals 933.2 MMcf of gas and 7.065 Mbbl of oil.
