Description

IHS Markit reported that Roswell, N.M.-based Manzano LLC announced results from a horizontal producer in Lea County, N.M.’s Jenkins Field. The venture is on the Northwestern Shelf of the Permian Basin in Section 21-9s-35e. The #004H Sodbuster 21 Fee was tested pumping 68 bbl of crude, 86 Mcf of gas and 1.438 Mbbl of water per day from San Andres at 5,150-9,330 ft. It was acidized and fracture-treated. The new producer was drilled out of a 5,000-ft pilot hole and the horizontal lateral reached 9,348 ft, 4,820 ft true vertical, and bottomed nearly a mile to the north. Earlier in 2017, Manzano completed the first horizontal San Andres well in Jenkins Northwest Field. The #001H Everest 2 State had an initial daily potential of 65 bbl of 27-degree-gravity oil, 36 Mcf of gas and 2.634 Mbbl of water from acid- and fracture-stimulated perforations at 4,725-9,276 ft.
