Drilling Activity Summary

Description

EOG Resources Inc., based in Houston, completed two horizontal Wolfcamp oil discoveries at a pad in Section 32-24s-34e of Lea County, N.M. The #701H Cobalt 32 was tested flowing 2.527 Mbbl of 41-degree-gravity crude, 4.821 MMcf of gas and 5.745 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from perforations at 12,595-16,914 ft following 32-stage fracturing. It was drilled to 17,010 ft, and the lateral bottomed about 1 mile to the north in Section 32 with a true vertical depth of 12,286 ft. Gauged on a 60/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 1,363 psi. The offsetting #702H Cobalt 32 flowed 2.441 Mbbl of 41-degree-gravity oil, 4.689 MMcf of gas and 5.206 Mbbl of water per day. The parallel lateral was drilled to 17,173 ft, 12,292 ft true vertical. It was tested on a 60/64-in. choke after 19-stage fracturing with a flowing tubing pressure of 1,238 psi.
