In this edition of Onshore Connect, Hart Energy spoke with Dale Logan, vice president of reservoir technologies at C&J Energy Services, about an engineered completions technology called LateralScience that is improving well productivity based strictly on drilling data. According to Logan, the technique is a low-cost method used to calculate mechanical specific energy, or MSE, that optimizes hydraulic fractures across an entire lateral.
