Gretchen Watkins, who will take over as head of Shell’s U.S. business at the end of the year, talked with Hart Energy’s executive editor-at-large Leslie Haines during the recent Executive Oil Conference in Midland, Texas. The interview took place following Watkins' opening keynote address at the conference and she touched on Shell’s activity around the globe but, in particular, its activity in the Permian Basin, which she said is the company’s most active basin. She also discussed Shell’s growth projection in the Permian, how technology is playing a key role in completions and efficiency, artificial intelligence and more.
